Acton Main Line
Acton Main Line station will benefit from major improvements as part of the plans to introduce the Elizabeth line.
The Acton Main Line works include a new ticket hall building, new lifts to provide step-free access to platforms, platform extensions, new platform canopies, lighting and information screens. A new, bright, spacious ticket hall will provide a more welcoming environment for passengers and a range of other improvements are being made to the station, including:
- A new footbridge with new lifts to provide step free access to every platform
- Platform extensions to accommodate the new 200 metre long Elizabeth line trains
- New lighting, customer information screens, station signage, help points and CCTV.
McRail/RMC was engaged to aid help start the process of improvements to the station. Works include Groundworks and the construction of multiple Concrete Frames. Whilst a challenging location, works were carried out within schedule.
