Storex Sunbury

McRail RMC Constructions delivers substructure and concrete works at STOREX Sunbury, incorporating low-carbon cement solutions.

The STOREX Sunbury project comprised the construction of a circa 10,000 m² self-storage facility with ground-floor light-industrial workspace units, delivered for EQT Exeter and completed in December 2024. Works included piling, foundations, reinforced slabs, and erection of the structural steel frame and building envelope.

McRail RMC Constructions was appointed by Aztec Construction to undertake all Groundworks and Reinforced Concrete works, delivering the substructure and associated concrete elements.

The development also trialed low-carbon “Re-ment” cement within foundation slabs to reduce embodied carbon while meeting structural performance requirements. The completed facility provides modern storage and workspace units incorporating energy-efficient systems and EV charging provision.
