McRail RMC Constructions was appointed by Kirby Group Engineering (KGE) to deliver the groundworks and reinforced concrete elements for the WTX PERUN Substation in Bury Green, Hertfordshire. The works formed part of the wider substation development supporting a new data centre.

McRail RMC Constructions's scope included bulk earthworks, excavation, formation preparation, piling mat installation, services infrastructure, and the construction of reinforced concrete foundations and structures required for the substation platform and associated equipment. Delivered in close coordination with the principal contractor, the works were undertaken in accordance with programme, quality, and safety requirements, providing a robust and compliant base for the subsequent electrical and structural installations.
